turkey or takeout

It's kind of a different year, huh? A different holiday season coming up? Understatement.


So how are you handling it?

The uncertainty.

The "should I buy a 20 lb turkey or order takeout (again)".

Will the table be full or will it turn into "a big lunch on Thursday"?





We are way scaled back this year in my home so I'm adjusting my expectations and my plan for the holiday meal. The one that I usually take days to make, boiling the chestnuts on Tuesday, setting the table on Wednesday, getting a sub for my yoga class on Thursday, as I prep, peel, chop, cook & bake all morning long.


Hmmmm, not this year.


If you have a hard time with handling the unknown, this situation may be wearing on you as it repeats itself month after month.


So what are you going to do about it?


Because that's the bigger question here. Not what happens to you, but what do you do about it?


Can you let your shoulders drop?

Can you maybe, secretly, enjoy the possibility of a "quiet" holiday?

Can you get creative with how you'll spend the day? The long weekend?

Can you make a different plan for the next and final(!!!) 6 weeks of the year?

All subject to change, of course:)
